Reconnecting together – a look back at the start of the ‘reconnect! Compassion Journey’

Scientific basis: neuroscience meets mindfulness
A special journey began this week in the inspiring atmosphere of Villa Elisabeth in Berlin: the reconnect! Compassion Journey, an 8-week mindfulness-based programme initiated by Prof. Dr. Tania Singer in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Foundation. The event, attended by over 120 participants, marked the festive start of this joint learning journey.
At the heart of the Compassion Journey is the social brain – and the ability to train compassion, self-care and social connectedness through daily exercises such as dyads (structured partner meditations). These exercises not only promote individual resilience, but also empathetic coexistence in community and at work.
The Compassion Journey is based on years of neuroscience research by Prof. Dr. Tania Singer. She's a pioneer in social neuroscience and has shown through large-scale studies, like the ReSource Project, that mental training methods like compassion practice and mindfulness not only boost subjective well-being, but can also measurably change the brain and strengthen social skills.
Why are we supporting this project as a foundation?
Because we see how much founders and social entrepreneurs in particular suffer from chronic stress, pressure to perform and the risk of burnout. And because we are convinced that inner change is a prerequisite for sustainable social change.
We are proud and grateful to have helped shape this powerful launch – and look forward to eight weeks full of insights, encounters and inner movement.
