October wouldn't be complete without our annual Entrepreneurship Summit. For many, after 15 years, the event has become like a family reunion. People come together and share their successes and failures, ideas and ventures. Inspiring and motivating each other is our top priority. We want to bring our visitors into action, give them the opportunity to deal with their own strengths, abilities, wishes and dreams and to network and exchange ideas with other entrepreneurs. Because only together can we confront the problems of our time.
Once again this year, on a sunny autumn weekend, nearly 1,000 people gathered in the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität to listen to exciting and inspiring speakers and to be infected by their energy to change the world. Once again, our experts, thought leaders, and doers demonstrated the entrepreneurial initiatives and concepts that can make business work better, more sensitively, and, above all, more intelligently. Together, we learned that even a crisis can be overcome, such as the failure of almost all food trucks. But with creativity and commitment, you can turn (almost) any problem into a solution.
The transformation has already begun and we are all part of it. Now each individual must decide for himself or herself in what way he or she wants to continue to participate in and shape the constant change. Like every year, 10 brave people took the daring step and put their ideas to the test. At the Proof of Concept, 10 ideas can be founded and tested live. A 24-hour market test where consumers can pass on their feedback directly and unfiltered. This offers the unique chance to test one's idea on the market without making large investments up front. You can see whether your idea is really worthwhile and whether other people are interested in it. A wonderful opportunity to learn entrepreneurial skills and to gain potential customers.
In addition to our great speakers on the main stage in the Audimax, such as Prof. Gerald Hüther, Günes Seyfarth or Dr. Arndt Pechstein, there was again something to discover in every lecture hall this year. Founders who reported on their start-up experiences and gave tips, impulse groups on the topics of biodiversity, Ocean Future, entrepreneurship in schools & universities, impact & sustainability, design thinking, cradle to cradle, social entrepreneurship and much more. A colorful program of lectures, impulses and workshops for young and old. Entrepreneurship enthusiasts came together from all over the state to share their knowledge, hopes and plans with our participants. Two sentences that still echo in our ears, among others:
We are born as creators (Prof. Gerald Hüther) and we are in the world to do great things (Günes Seyfarth).
You can find all keynotes on our Youtube channel Entrepreneurship TV, if you could not be there on the Summit weekend, you can browse there and get inspired.
We as Team Foundation Entrepreneurship are happy to see so much pioneering and founding spirit, we are proud and happy to inspire people to unleash their full potential and thus transform the world into a fair place for all. We say from the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU. For the loyalty, for the trust and for the do-gooder energy. On October 21 and 22, 2023, the next Entrepreneurship Summit will take place and already now we could win fabulous keynote speakers like Dr. Werner Sobek (civil engineer and architect, initiator of the German Sustainable Building Council), Harald Welzer (sociologist, social psychologist, publicist, co-founder of the non-profit foundation Futurzwei) and Bart Weetjens (Buddhist Zen monk and social entrepreneur).
