The " Social Entrepreneurship in Tourism Competition" is the first global competition focused on social innovation and entrepreneurship in tourism.

By giving social entrepreneurs from around the world access to expertise and international visibility, the competition aims to empower entrepreneurs and communities in a wide variety of destinations, accelerating their growth and giving them access to the market.

We had the pleasure to talk to the initiator Prof. Claudia Brözel and the winners of the Launch and Growth Track from 2022 - Paola Sofa / Ancestral Teacher & Joanna Gruau / Wheel the World - as well as the winner of the Launch Track 2021 Marien de Jesus / Kusveghi English and Nomadic Culture Camp at ITB. Prof. Dr. Claudia Brözel is Professor of Marketing and eCommerce in Tourism in the Sustainable Tourism Management program at the Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences (HNEE).

She researches and teaches on the question of how sustainable travel can succeed. In 2019, Prof. Brözel initiated the worldwide unique competition Social Entrepreneurship in Tourism, which is based on the 17 development goals of the UNWTO.
