#MEET Boost Idea:

This is a short interview we conducted with IMELDA-NSIALA, the founder of '' Boost Idea”. If you like the concept of this idea and would like to vote for it, click HERE.

  1. What is your background? (Nationality, age, education, field of work).

I'm a Congolese lady of 32 years, having a bachelor degree in nursing sciences. I'm actually working as interpreter within the migrations services in Syracuse/Italy. (Temporary)

  1. Describe your idea or project in two sentences.

Boost Idea is a structure of support, analysis and development of the Congolese youth projects/ideas, situated in the age group of 18-35 years, having a bright entrepreneurship idea, to fight against unemployment and poverty in the DR Congo.

  1. What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

It is true that I had some knowledge on entrepreneurship, but today, thanks to you, I have become able to discover and develop the skills that slumbered in me. For example on the marketing plan, I'm learning every day to implement new strategies to promote my project (going door to door and approach people in the street, etc.). The only thing that put me behind, is the fact that the Congolese people who supposed to be my first support for votes, are faced with the sudden increase of the cost of internet problem, which does not allow voting as must. Despite this, we try to give our best.

  1. What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?

The Congolese society is full of challenges, but very few people takes the courage to meet them. In the DR Congo, over 65% of young people are unemployed or without an activity generating income, which implies a high rate of poverty. I left the country in 2010 to Italy, and thinking quickly to find work. Unfortunately, my arrival coincided with the period where the crisis was raging, hence no real opportunities of work. In 5 years in Italy, I did not send less than 1,000 CVS to companies for job positions, but I have not managed to get at least one legal job. Determined to change things for me and around me (for the youth of my country), thanks to the courage and the leadership spirit acquired in the YWCA_DR Congo, an association that promotes the development of women in Congo, I got to design BOOST IDEA. The social impact, change and development that seeks to bring, makes all its particularity. In short, I am driven by the desire of change things in the DR Congo, bringing a new mentality of entrepreneurship to fight against unemployment and poverty.

  1. Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.

I will create a peaceful world, a world of love where everyone would find his place despite our differences (color, studies, rich, poor). For where there is love everything is possible!

  1. What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?

If we can today talk about W.Disney, M.Jordan, Mc Donald etc. It's because one day people have decided to trust them and also to their dreams.

And today, BOOST IDEA is an idea that could change the lives of thousands of Congolese youth, giving them a future, through entrepreneurship.

This project will also contribute to retain the youth who are fleeing the country, because of poverty, to work and to develop it; to prevent those who take the risk to come in Europe by sea, which for the most would never reach their destinations.

Thank you for trusting us by voting for BOOST IDEA!

Help us to make it possible!
