#MEET Carpe Diem Foundation

This is a short interview we conducted with Onini Tariere, the founder of “Carpe Diem Foundation”. If you like the concept of this idea and would like to vote for it, click HERE.

  • What is your background?

My name is Miss Onini Tariere, I happen to be one of the co-founders of the Carpe Diem Foundation. I am a 300 level student of the Niger Delta University, I am 20 years old and a Nigerian national.

  • Describe your idea or project in two sentences.

The Carpe Diem Foundation is a project intended for the info-edu-tainment of young people in Nigeria.

  • What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

The benefits I take from the Entrepreneurship Campus is the encouragement to pursue goals that will not only positively re-orient the average Nigerian youth but also imbibe in them positive values that will turn them away from social vices thereby bettering our society.

  • What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?

What motivates me to be an entrepreneur is the fact that many youths are basking in idle and unprofitable vices due to ignorance and bad education.

  • Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.

I want to see a society where everyone is aware of the power within them and the ability to positively impact the world regardless of their background or any societal limitations. A society where people stand up and take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming others. Also a society where people become the change they wish to see.

  • What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?

Everyone is a solution to a problem and once we stop complaining about the problems and become the solutions. We will start seeing the changes we wish to see because we have already become those changes.
