#MEET Megafruits

• What is your background?

My name is Ayuk Armslem, I am 24 years old currently studying for ACCA to qualify as a professional accountant. I work as a document control officer. Megafruits is the name i choose for my project because I would like to make a mega impact in augmenting the value chain of food processing in my country.

• Describe your idea or project in two sentences.

Megafruits aims to extend the shelf life of fruits while improving the quality of the process from farm to the market in an innovative efficient and effective manner.

• What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

The contribution from others is amazing and the ideas and projects are mind blowing. The submissions and courses in the entrepreneurial campus makes the whole experience surreal.

• What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?

To offer value to society and improve the quality of life for everyone. "It is not enough to know you must apply, not enough to be willing you must do" Bruce Lee those are the words i live by as an entrepreneur.

• Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.

I would make the economy of my country stronger by ensuring that products that constitute the main GDP of my country are processed further before exported so as to improve the value and thus revenue received in the country. Oil & Gas would be further processed into petrol,Kerosene,Diesel. This would improve the energy supply in the country and improve the overall growth of the service sector as energy resources become more affordable the income gained due to fall in prices of energy resources would be invested other Areas. Cash crops. Cocoa would be processed to chocolate both luxury and low end chocolates so we can compete in the global community with high quality value added products. Coffee production would be improved and sold at international market rates. With the improvement of technology i would love to have a deeper internet penetration and a stronger economic system both go hand in hand as internet augments access to a wider market and strong economic system means aspects such as online shopping using credit and debit cards would become common place. Time and conditions required to register a business would be streamlined to make the process faster, thorough and easy to follow.

• What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?
