#MEET Voice of the Food Revolution

This is a short interview we conducted with Helman Emmanuel Bazompora the creator of Voice of the Food Revolution. If you like this project and would like to vote for it, click here.


1. Please, tell us a bit about yourself: where are you from and what is your background?

My name is Helman Emmanuel Bazompora from Tanzania. I'm a start up entrepreneur. I have been in Agribusiness (Agriculture -farming) vegetables, fruits, and other nutrients food products like soybeans, I'm very passionate entrepreneur believing to change my community and the entire world. The Voice of food revolution is alarming in my mind to help and serve thousands of people and children who die of malnutrition and stunting due to lack of food revolution education. I have high school level of education, which has been helping me to define ideas and projects and build robust idea to affect the community. I'm very optimistic about social change.

2. Can you describe your idea or project in two sentences?

My idea is based on The voice of food revolution which intends to impact the communities by reducing child malnutrition and stunting. This idea is of long-term as its intention to make sure the community is in full change and hence sustainable development.

3. How did you get your idea or concept?

My idea comes after seeing a number of people and children affected by malnutrition and stunting increasing the different area in my local area. And discovered that it's because of lack of education on proper utilization of food. Therefore the idea on The Voice of food revolution started alarming in my mind.

4. What is unique about your idea/project and how does it benefit mankind?

The idea is unique as it is a social impact idea, a number of social members will participate direct and indirect during its implementation. This will really bring sustainable development to community and play its role as also a health robust to community members. It will create jobs for jobless youth, women, and men and hence gender equality. People will get knowledge on how to prepare and use a balanced diet.

5. Describe yourself as an entrepreneur in one sentence

I'm a passionate, optimistic and strong believer in social and economic development to local communities.

6. How do you deal with people that doubt your abilities/initiatives?

First is to address them and teach them to understand the on going problems facing our communities as some you find are not aware to understand the problem and how to attend it. People whom I have shared this idea some are encouraging and some doubt that I cannot implement this idea, but the best deal is to help them with knowledge on the challenges facing our communities, continent, and the entire world.

7. Where does your passion lie?

My passion lies in community social and economic development issues.

 8. What are you afraid of or what keeps you up at night?

I am not afraid of anything, but only thinking how I can play my role towards transforming Africa and the entire world keeps me up at night.

9. According to you, money is a synonym for.....

Supporter to social and economic development.

10. What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

To learn from others, how do they do to solve social and economic problems facing their communities. Creating a network of social and economic development current and future leaders.

11. What do you like more about the Entrepreneurship Campus?

Meet and connect with responsible youth citizens from different nationalities. Has helped me to equip with knowledge on what to do as a responsible youth citizen to my country, Africa, and the entire world.

12. Which idea/project do you like most?

The Voice of food revolution. I like this idea most, and I will make sure it is implemented even if it will be out the competition, it can take longer to be implemented but I will try to my level best.

Voice of food revolution. There is potential for a successful implementation if the trainings were taken by the owner of the idea. Showing that it is necessary for campus members to undertake the trainings.
